Preserving Elegance – A Bespoke Windows Project in Ardberg Road, London SE24
This house was a second project with a returning customer, having perviously had a full house of windows replaced by Bespoke windows. We were asked to supply and fit windows for this project house in a lovely residential street, between Dulwich Village and Herne Hill.
The house had original casement windows fitted to the top floor with Sash windows fitted below to both front and rear elevations.
The brief was to retain the original traditional look whilst elevating the performance and reducing the maintenance of the windows.
During the first of three site meetings, approximate sizes were taken for pricing purposes and our range of windows and internal painted trimming options was discussed. At the time we had just launched our latest wooden staff bead internal trim option, now widely known for making our next generation PVCu sash windows look more like wood than any other feature introduced in the last five years.
Our client then visited our East Dulwich showroom to confirm the exact specification of the windows and finishing trims required.

This property went on to feature on our “wood you believe its not wood” flyer that has now been delivered to over 200,000 homes in the area.

Our client chose our ultimate internal wooden painted finish on this project. Staff beads were added to the fully paintable internal trimming resulting in what has been described as “the best sash window package I have ever seen” by a local architect. This has to be seen to be fully appreciated!
